more concise. I also generally speaking think wording like "in alcohol use disorder," or "in T2DM" is better than "alcoholic" or "diabetic" since person-first language is generally regarded as being more polite these days. it depends on the condition but I think this article generally provides a good guide https://www.nih.gov/nih-style-guide/person-first-destigmatizing-language#homelessness
