- Abdominal pain is due to intussusception
- Hematuria is from IgA nephropathy
- UWorld: in addition to the classic symptoms, up to 1/3 of boys with IgA vasculitis have unilateral or bilateral scrotal pain and swelling
- In children with the classic findings, no additional diagnostic testing is needed
- In children with an atypical presentation (or adults), the next step is a skin biopsy
