made the same suggestion twice by mistake
"Phagocytes of patients with CGD can utilize H2O2 generated by invading organisms and convert it to ROS."
FA pg107
I havn't found a source that says CAT -ve bacteria are dealt with specifically by HClO (Hypochlorous acid is written without the -ve sign)
Also note:1487642773652 states that MPO deficiency is associated with increased Candida infections (not CAT -ve bacterial infections)
& has this in its EXTRA field:
"HClO is important for killing off Candida, but H2O2 and other free radicals are sufficient for killing off catalase +ve species
In contrast to chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis, where there is a defect either with Th17 response or AIRE"
I also changed the wording of the sentence in the EXTRA field because it was a bit confusing despite being copied as is from FA pg107
you're probably better at English than me, so change it back if I'm wrong
