- Alternative treatments are not recommended because of high levels of resistance, EXCEPT for some remote Australian locations and severe allergic reactions (see below)<br>- Both Therapeutic Guidelines and STI Guidelines agree on the drugs<br>- TG suggests Ceftriaxone can be given IV or IM, STI guidelines recommend IM in 2 mL 1% lignocaine<br>- The same drugs are used for anorectal/genital infection, but doses change<br><br><img src="paste-d7866702c14da79ca46cd464cd90afce15b6f652.jpg">
