- Beta-blocker therapy should be given to both symptomatic and
asymptomatic patients to reduce the risk of syncope and sudden cardiac
death
- All patients should be referred for specialist management
- Patients with congenital long QT syndrome should immediately cease any QT-prolonging medication and have electolytes investigated
