(I HATE CERVICAL CANCER SCREENING)
Comment on the existing card
1. Starting at age 21, this is not correct, bnb says start at onset of sexual activity
2. Yearly PAP is correct, however every 3 years Co-testing at the age 30 is not correct because if we decide to do Co-testing it will be also at the onset of sexual activity
so basicaly the card is telling correct info but wrong time
(nb) bnb is based on
2018 USPSTF guidelines
2020 ACS guidelines
Cervical cancer screening is initiated at the time of HIV diagnosis, but no sooner than 21 years of age
For patients 21 to 29 years, cervical cytology is used for screening
For patients ≥30 years, either cervical cytology or co-testing (cervical cytology and human papillomavirus [HPV] testing) is acceptable for screening
Primary HPV testing (HPV testing without cervical cytology) is not approved for use in patients with HIV
If screening with cervical cytology: cervical cytology is performed every 12 months for a total of three years; if the results of three consecutive cervical cytology tests are normal, follow-up with cervical cytology is performed every three years
If screening with co-testing: repeat co-testing is performed every three years
Routine colposcopy is performed at the initial screening visit but not at subsequent follow-up visits
Screening continues throughout a patient's lifetime
