Rationale for change

single glucose molecules breaking seems like we are talking about a free glucose molecule, which are broken off by debranching enzyme. Glycogen phosphrylase breaks off glucose 1-phosphate molecules from alpha 1,4 glcosidic bonds, so i reflects the idea of the card better.
