this is incorrect. the middle class was never defined as the bourgeoisie, the video hyperlinked in fact disproves this too. the bourgeoisie are the capital owners / people who own the means of production.

the bourgeoisie are the owners of the means of production, who are in conflict with the proletariat, who perform labor for money. the thesis (status quo) vs antithesis (desire of the proletariat to gain more control over the means of production) is at the core of marx's conflict theory.
