Rationale for change
The generation cards in this deck make no sense. Gen Z is listed as “1995-2003” which is wrong and way too short to define a generational cohort. Millennials are listed as 1980s-2000s which directly overlaps with Gen Z and isn’t possible. “Always on generation” isn’t an officially designated name for a generation and 2004 is classified as Gen Z. Gen Alpha didn’t start until 2010/2012, but these cards make it seem like anyone born between 1980-2009 is a millennial and a specific cohort of millennials (1995-2003) are Gen Z. So you’re saying people born between 1980-1995 are strictly millennials, 1995-2003 are millennials and Gen Z, and 2004-2009 are always on and millennials. Bit of a conundrum, no?
