The current card reinforces a common misconception that centrioles/centrosomes are exclusively involved in mitosis. While they do form the spindle poles to pull chromosomes apart, their primary function during the other 90% of the cell cycle (interphase) is acting as the main Microtubule Organizing Center (MTOC) to organize the microtubule tracks used for intracellular vesicle and organelle transport. I added a c3 cloze for active recall of this function. This concept is directly tested in AAMC Practice Exam 2 B/B Question 51, which requires students to know that melanosomes move along microtubules that originate and radiate from the centrosome during normal, non-dividing cellular function. Including this context eliminates the misconception that this organelle is only involved in mitosis.
Suggested edit is considerably longer and adds a cloze, which we're not actively looking at for the moment I'm sorry to say. Additionally, it appears to be of a different formatting and font which makes consideration a bit more difficult. If you'd like to take a look at it and resubmit happy to take another glance at it again. :-)
