STI prophylaxis regimens following a sexual assault at a minimum require:

Extra
- Postexposure prophylaxis (PEP) against chlamydia (doxycycline), gonorrhea (ceftriaxone), and trichomoniasis (metronidazole)
- HIV prophylaxis with multidrug regimen (tenofovir-emtricitabine + raltegravir) should be offered if patient presents for care within 72 hours of assault
- HBV vaccine ± HBV immunoglobulin can be offered depending on vaccination status
- Women with a negative pregnancy test are offered emergency contraception (e.g. oral levonorgestrel [Plan B])
