Rationale for change
According to the linked guideline from AAFP (which itself cites guidelines from SHM, ACCF, and AHA), "guidelines also support the use of cardiac troponin over CK-MB for diagnosing reinfarction."
In addition to this change being accurate clinical practice, this is relevant for test-taking. For example, there is an Amboss question in which the question stem describes a woman with reinfarction 3 days post-MI and the correct answer is "serial measurement of serum troponin concnetration."
