Rationale for change

Current cloze is somewhat broad/vague: “hip fracture” includes femoral neck (intracapsular), intertrochanteric (extracapsular), and avulsion (isolated) trochanteric fractures, all of which have different complications and management. The former 2 present with leg shortening, the latter does not, even though it's still a "hip fracture". UWorld QID 17862

Suggest: “Shortened and externally rotated leg after trauma → proximal femur fracture (femoral neck or intertrochanteric).”
