Rationale for change
This card should say ACE inhibitors or ARBs, as both lead to efferent arteriole vasodilation and thus, decreased GFR.
AMBOSS supports this from their q-bank explanation, stating: "ACE inhibitors like enalapril inhibit efferent arteriole constriction, which can lead to a decrease in the GFR and acute kidney injury, as seen here. Patients with bilateral renal artery stenosis are especially susceptible to this effect, as the kidneys rely on efferent arteriole constriction to maintain the GFR. Angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs) work in a similar fashion. Therefore, both ARBs and ACEIs are relatively contraindicated in patients with bilateral renal stenosis."
