Rationale for change
The wording of this card is confusing and makes it seem like CD40L/CD40 binding is the second signal required for T cell activation when in reality that is B7/CD28 binding. What actually happens is that T cells are activated by (1) TCR/MHC binding (2) baseline B7/CD28 binding. After this, the T cells can express CD40L which then can bind to CD40 on APCs which further upregulates the amount of B7 expressed by the APC. All in all, this card just has confusing wording that obfuscates the timeline of events in the T cell and APC activation pathways.
