Rationale for change

(this isn't actually dead space, this is a shunt. because ventilation is low and perfusion is high. please take a look at this)

in O2 induced CO2 retention, this means that the perfusion increased because vasodilation from the O2.

however, this means, ventialtion is low, and perfusion is high. this is the definition of shunting. dead space is when perfusion is low but ventilation is high. pls check this.
