Morphine: decreases preload by venodilation, but rarely used due to increased risk of complications (e.g., hypotension, respiratory depression)
Oxygen: only if SpO2 < 90% (some studies have shown an increased risk of mortality with O2 use)
Nitrates: ↓ preload. For symptomatic relief only. Carries many contraindications (e.g., inferior wall infarcts, hypotension, recent PDE-5 inhibitor use)
Aspirin + ADP (P2Y12) receptor inhibitor: ↓ platelet aggregation and rethrombosis of coronary vessels
β-blocker: ↓ arrhythmias and oxygen demand and ↓ myocardial damage. Contraindicated in bradycardia / cardiogenic shock
ACE-i: ↓ HTN + ↓ remodeling
Statins: ↓ LDL → ↓ plaque formation
Heparin: anticoagulant
