After targeted searching, there are no cards in the overhaul for PAPVR specifically. This question requires understanding differences in PAPVR vs TAPVR.The UW tag for this question only includes cards discussing TAPVR. 50% of students are answering this question incorrectly.

Text
A previously healthy adolescent presenting with progressive extertional dyspnea, prominent right heart border on chest x-ray, and a step up in oxygen saturation from the IVC to the right atrium most likely has {{c1::partial anomalous pulmonary venous return (PAPVR)::specific}}

Extra
- In PAPVR, patients are often asymptomatic for much of childhood. in PAPVR, some (ie, ≥1) but not all pulmonary veins abnormally drain oxygenated blood into the right-sided circulation, usually via the superior vena cava (SVC) or directly into the RA.  As a result, mixing of deoxygenated blood (eg, from the SVC) and oxygenated blood (eg, from any anomalous pulmonary veins) occurs within or proximal to the RA

- In contrast to total anomalous pulmonary venous return, in which all pulmonary veins drain abnormally, causing neonatal cyanosis, in PAPVR, patients are often asymptomatic for much of childhood.
