Rationale for change
Mnemonic below is incorrect - ferritin isn't there to increase iron content in blood (that is the role of transferrin). Ferritin stores iron, and in hemochromatosis it is a protective mechanism. Also ferritin is principally active in the tissues, the elevated serum ferritin is simply a measurable indication of the body's response to iron overload (vs. inflammation/infection)
