I had previously submitted a suggestion for the companion flashcard to this particular flashcard, where it stated that "When an electron moves to a {closer} orbital, a photon is emitted.
Although I see now why it had said "closer", as this card (which is a companion to the above card) says "farther"..
However, would it be more accurate if the other card would say "lower", and this card say "higher" instead?
Just asking :)
Reference: Page 19 of Kaplan MCAT Content Review 2025 - 2026, line "For electrons to move from a lower energy level to a higher energy level, they must absorb the right amount of energy to do so. They absorb this energy in the form of light. Similarly, when electrons move from a higher energy level to a lower energy level, they emit the same amount of energy in the form of light."
Thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to integrate your changes in a new suggestion with a few tweaks!
