This would not cause dead space, it will cause shunting.
Reversing hypoxic vasoconstriction increases blood flow (Q) to poorly ventilated (low V) alveoli. Thus, there will be decreased V/Q in those areas, shifting towards shunt physiology, not dead space.

This card incorrectly states that this leads to an increase in physiologic dead space, it should state that it leads to worsened V/Q mismatch, particularly low V/Q or shunt-like states, contributing to hypercapnia and hypoxemia.
