This card needs some fact-checking.
I am unable to find where in board material that MI within last 6 months is an ABSOLUTE contraindication to non-cardiac surgery.
Rather, all other sources (including the Sketchy 2 video this may come from), seem to indicate that non-cardiac surgery should just be delayed at least 60 days.
The BB Step 2 video on Pre-Operative evaluation indicates >60 days after ACS. UpToDate on "Management of cardiac risk for non-cardiac surgery" also indicates >60 days. Finally, the 2014 ACC/AHA Guidelines on "Perioperative Cardiovascular Evaluation and Management of Patients Undergoing Noncardiac Surgery"
Regarding EF <35%, I have been unable to find where this is an absolute contraindication. BB even explicitly states HFrEF is not a contraindication to surgery; they just have higher rates of complications.
