Lol, tried this once before and it didn't go through. Trying again:
I realize that content-level changes are not taken lightly, so I’m treading softly here. But, I’m positing the contention that the card’s phrasing is a bit overly broad and may present some issues
Page 326 of FA (2025) shows comparative illustrations of the QRS complexes for class IA, IB, and IC antiarrhythmics, which show that IB do not widen the QRS complex. This is also reflected in the image contained in the Extra field of the card. I know that Wikipedia is not considered an appropriate source, though this is supported in the same article from which the image hails: “Class Ib drugs shorten the action potential”
So while class IA and IC do widen the QRS complex, class IB do not necessarily widen the complex and in many cases will shorten it. Which leaves the card’s current phrasing perhaps a potential source of confusion.
Adding the conditional 'generally' might side-step this issue without wholesale overhaul of the card
In any event, I leave it in y'all's capable hands but wanted at least to do due diligence in broaching the issue. :-)
