Rationale for change
This card misleads into thinking that only Parkinson disease is characterized by lewy bodies, but it should also include Lewy body dementia to include both arms of the α-synucleinopathies
Source:
Amboss: "Alpha-synuclein: A protein mainly found in terminal axons and encoded by SNCA gene on chromosome 4. Excess alpha-synuclein can aggregate and deposit intracellularly, thereby forming Lewy bodies. These are associated with neurodegeneration and so-called α-synucleinopathies, e.g., Lewy body dementia or Parkinson disease."
