Rationale for change

Neurogenic bladder has two main etiologies:

Suprapontine lesions (e.g., Parkinson’s disease) → impaired inhibition of the pontine micturition center → involuntary detrusor contractions → urgency incontinence (not overflow incontinence).

Sacral or infrasacral lesions (e.g., conus medullaris syndrome) → detrusor underactivity with normal or reduced urethral sphincter tone → overflow incontinence.

The card incorrectly assumes that all neurogenic bladder cases result in overflow incontinence, overlooking urgency incontinence caused by suprapontine lesions.
