UWorld QId: 403440 (4908855) explains this concept in depth but this is also discussed in other major mcat sources.
We have other cards in the deck that discuss that triacylglycerols contain a glycerol and 3 fatty acids. We have cards also covering B-oxidation so that link between triacylglycerols and energy is clear. However, I do not believe we have any card that covers how glycerol can produce glycolytic intermediate DHAP. So the contribution of glycerol within triacylglycerols to energy is not clear/described in the deck. I think this is missing and an appropriate card to put it. LMK what you guys think. The card which discusses the components of triacylglycerols may also be a better candidate nid: 1558324848422
