Better to use the primary/more common term for nonbacterial thrombotic endocarditis (AMBOSS and FA24 pg. 318 both prefer "nonbacterial thrombotic endocarditis"
FA24 pg 318: "Nonbacterial thrombotic endocarditis: also called marantic endocarditis."
AMBOSS: doesn't use the term "marantic endocarditis" but the addon shows "nonbacterial thrombotic endocarditis" when hovering over "marantic endocarditis"
+ Extra (from AMBOSS addon) about Trousseau: "Referred to as Trousseau syndrome if related to underlying malignancy (most commonly pancreatic adenocarcinoma and bronchial carcinoma)."
