- MRI is reserved for bilateral, progressive, or severe neurologic deficits or for suspicion of epidural abscess or malignancy
- Cervical radiculopathy is a clinical condition that may involve neck, shoulder, or arm pain; muscle weakness; sensory symptoms; or diminished deep tendon reflexes, either alone or in combination; most commonly presents with neck pain that radiates down the arm in a dermatomal pattern
