Rationale for change

The absolute configuration is R/S now in organic chemistry. L/D also gives the absolute confirmation but in biochemistry. R/S would take precedence because it’s the newer system. Biochemist just like L/D so they did not change. So the absolute vs relative is dependent upon the subject. I believe that is correct if y’all are interested in updating the note. I don’t think it matters either way though. That’s just what the new kaplan books suggest.
