Rationale for change

Major depressive disorder per the DSM 5-TR requires greater than or equal to 5 of SIGECAPS. Auditory hallucination is not part of that criteria, and thus the patient displays 4. Further, it requires a timeline of greater than or equal to 2 weeks. With this vignette, you would need both a timeline and further criteria to differentiate between normal grief, MDD + grief, and complex bereavement. Also, impairment of functioning should be noted. I suggested a change for more specifics.
