Rationale for change

I really don't think 'regulate spatially' works here and at the very least it's very stilted. I can see ESL having issues with the phrasing. Regulate is a transitive verb and requires a direct object. You wouldn't say "Insulin is used to regulate homeostatically in the body" (regulate what?) or "I created studiously in my new anki deck" (created what?).

"Orientation refers to the spatial organization of movements."

If this is worded to be 'Orientation refers to behaviors used to organize spatially in the environment' I'd argue that it leaves out what is being organized (movements) and is confusing to read.
