- Acceptable screening tests: fasting plasma glucose, HbA1c (preferred), or oral glucose tolerance test (most sensitive)
- USPSTF: recommends screening based on age (35–70) WITH a BMI ≥ 25
- ADA: recommends screening all patients ≥ 35 years OR BMI ≥ 25 with additional risk factors
- This card was outdated and has been reworked to cover the current testable guidelines for screening for prediabetes/T2DM, based on USPSTF and the American Diabetes Association (Sept 2025)
