Rationale for change

C=O has LOWER bond energy than C=C and therefore higher stability

Rejection reason

Incorrect. Bond (dissociation) energy is defined as amount of energy needed to break a bond. C=O is harder to break than C=C and has a higher bond energy. C=O thermodynamically is at a lower energy level and is more stable (which is why it takes more energy to break the bond, activation energy of reverse reaction is high)
