Rationale for change
The second answer “at 12 to 16 weeks gestation” is unnecessary and logically does not make sense when the extra field clarifies “whichever comes earlier”. It is impossible for a patient to be screened for asymptomatic bacteruria BEFORE her first prenatal visit. The 16-18 week window itself will never be an indication to screen because at 16-18 weeks either A) patient was already screened at an earlier prenatal visit, B) patient is at her first prenatal visit now, or C) patient has not established care yet.
