Rationale for change
This is incorrect. SGLT-2 inhibitors are not contraindicated in patients with renal insufficiency, and can actually help reduce the reduction in eGFR. See https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9263228/ for a review on how SGLT-2 inhibitors can decrease the decline in eGFR for both stage 4 CKD and CKD without albinuria.
