Trigger finger isn't really traumatic hand injury, and definitely not a pathology relating to the joint. AMBOSS lists it under "noninfectious tenosynovitis" with “finger injuries” in a completely different section. I don't know why there is a comparison made between trigger finger and mallet finger, as this isn't an acute injury. I included reasoning as to why glucocorticoid injecitons work for this, which makes sense when paralled with the pathology behind this disease. The idea of glucocorticoid injections being tried if conservative treatment fails doesn’t make any sense (what woud the conservative treatment be?) and AMBOSS lists glucocorticoid injections as the conservative management itself. “Catching/locking” is a bit more desciptive vs “inability” - Inability woudl be more descriptive in mallet/jersey finger.
