*UWorld indicates that metronidazole is added for anaerobic coverage only when PID is complicated by a tuboovarian abscess; per CDC and UpToDate, routine addition of metronidazole is superior for preventing long-term sequelae

- Cefoxitin/cefotetan + doxycycline
- Clindamycin + gentamicin
