The "Extra" note is somewhat misleading. It says that diastolic shortening "leads to a decreased filling time therefore less cardiac output."
This is misleading because the card stem says that the heart rate is increasing. And heart rate is directly related to cardiac output.
CO = HR x SV
Because of this one cannot confidently say that cardiac output is decreased.
Consider rewording the "extra" portion of this card.
