Tenecteplase (TNK) is now becoming more widely used due to its ease of use (bolus vs infusion) and safety profile. [ Source ]
As of Feb, 2026, PE has been reclassified into groups A-E instead of massive/submassive/subsegmental. This is based on symptoms, biomarkers, and hypotension/shock to better differentiate and guide treatments. See infographic below.
