The previous note was old and now it's changend in UW and amboss
I personally prefer using sth like this
"Use moderate to high intensity statin therapy regardless of other risk factors"
also i am not sure if it's right to say 75 because i am pretty sure the current recommendation include patients above 75 as well
Amboss "Patients aged 40–75 years with diabetes mellitus: Initiate moderate-intensity statin therapy, regardless of lipid levels., Assess indications for high-intensity statins."
ADA update "Recommendation 10.20 was revised to recommend the use of high-intensity statin therapy in individuals with diabetes aged 40–75 years at higher risk, including those with one or more atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease risk factors, to reduce the LDL cholesterol by ≥50% of baseline and to target an LDL cholesterol goal of <70 mg/dL."
