Rationale for change
FirstAid 2024 p 147 has a list of zoonotic bacteria and it includes "Salmonella spp (except S typhi)" with
"TRANSMISSION AND SOURCE" being "Reptiles and poultry". Pasteurella multocida and Yersinia pestis are in this same list.
Also, cid: 1705991460023,
1705991460036,
1705991456903
all say that salmonella is facultative intracellular in macrophages.
So with salmonella being both zoonotic and intraellular in macrophages, shouldn't it be included here (and other cards) that discuss bacteria that are zoonotic and intracellular in macrophages?
