Rationale for change

Question paragraph describes uric acid crystal stones in the renal tubular lumen. It then asks where you would expect the precipitation. Per the UW explanation, the 2 locations that have a low enough pH are the distal tubule or collecting duct.

While you can get this question correct with just the knowledge of low pH, you eliminate answer choices A, B, and C with knowing where they precipitate (50% chose A B or C).

UW QID 12081 does not require to know the location. I don't have access to 24161 or the Step 2 UW question.
