Extra
- Approximately 30-50% of SAH patients report prodromal "sentinel" symptoms days to weeks before the main rupture, most notably {{c2::severe headaches}} and {{c2::transient diplopia}}.
- "Sentinel" (Warning) Headache: Often misdiagnosed as a migraine or tension headache. Recognizing this early can save a patient's life.
- Diplopia: Double vision, usually caused by compression of cranial nerves controlling eye movement (especially CN III).
