Rationale for change

Hemolysis does NOT cause bilirubin to be seen in the urine (i.e., urine bilirubin is normal). Hemolysis is a form of prehepatic jaundice, which is characterized by a buildup of unconjugated bilirubin. Given that unconjugated bilirubin is insoluble (and also that it's bound to albumin in blood), it is not able to pass through the glomerulus into the urine.

See the table in Amboss for information about prehepatic jaundice: https://next.amboss.com/us/article/jS0_z2?q=jaundice#Ya39442a0ddf282e3852a7a47d0071609
