Rationale for change

If you look at the original study that was linked to change this card from gray to white matter in the first place, it actually says the soap bubbles lesions are in the periventriuclar white matter and the basal ganglia - the basal ganglia is made of gray matter - so its actually in both (it also says mamillary bodies which are also gray matter)
