Rationale for change

In the previous suggestion, @Michael_B states "[...] the equatorial position is parallel to the ring's plane" but the question asks about bonds in relation to the AXIS of the ring, which is pependicular to the plane of the ring. The axis goes through the middle of the ring. ie) axial bonds are parallel to the axis of the ring and equatorial bonds are perpendicular to the axis of the ring.
