Card Text Says "Bile Leak"
Card Text should say "with common bile duct dilation seen on RUQ U/S?"
UW QID 2943 STEP 2
Uworld explains that Post Cholesyx syndrome is divided into two. Early or Late.
Early = Bile Leak
Late = biliary stricture, recurrent CBD stone, SOD
In this Q the pt had late presentation, with U/S showing CBD dilation (eluding towards a stone). As such ERCP, MRCP is NBSIM.
"A biliary cause should be suspected when a patient has elevations in liver function test results (eg, bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase, aminotransferases) and CBD dilation on ultrasonography. In particular, these findings suggest a CBD stone, biliary stricture, or SOD. Further evaluation of the biliary tree with MR cholangiopancreatography, endoscopic ultrasonography, or endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) can confirm the diagnosis and guide therapy. "
Card is not wrong, so this just changes what information is being tested - could instead change to "management of post-cholecystectomy syndrome"
