both UpToDate and AMBOSS categorize this as blunt thoracic aortic injury; presentation, risk factors, and management are nearly identical for dissection/rupture. additionally, should include TEE as a second option for imaging of hemodynamically unstable pts as that comprises a large proportion of pts with this condition
