The question involves a stress test showing inducible ischemia which points to the presence of CAD. Therefore, the anti-platelet therapy is not preventing CAD- it is already present. The next step in management for someone with findings diagnostic for CAD is to begin therapy with anti-platelets and statins. This prevents the classical CAD complication, myocardial infarction.
