- Once the neonate is breathing well with a heart rate over 100 bpm and good muscle tone, routine care such as skin-to-skin contact, vitamin K injections, and erythromycin eye ointment should be given<br><br><div>- The ventilation should begin with 21% O<sub>2</sub>&nbsp;(room air) and a rate of 40-60 breaths/minute</div><br><div>- If there is no improvement with PPV, the next step is intubation</div><br><div>- If HR drops below 60 despite adequate ventilation for &gt; 30 seconds,&nbsp;<u>start CPR</u></div><br><div><img src="f9f36cb99aa097a8b07a23b6a4f0dcb7.webp"><br></div>
